Flower Mound, Texas

Flower Mound is a suburb in central Denton County nestled between Interstate 35W and Interstate 35E just north of Highways 114 & 121, approximately 28 miles northwest of downtown Dallas and 33 miles northeast of downtown Fort Worth with some of the town spilling over into Tarrant County. It refuses to be referred to as a "city" despite its recent growth; it bills itself as the "Town of Flower Mound" with a "Town Hall" and a "Town Council".

Flower Mound is a picturesque gem featuring rolling hills along the shores of Lake Grapevine and just south of Lake Lewisville. D Magazine ranked Flower Mound at #8 on its biennial Best Suburbs List and continually ranks in the top ten. Citing proximity to the airport, the signature mound of wildflowers, low crime rate, and excellent schools, the publication recognized Flower Mound for friendly residents who care about their community.

The University of North Texas is a quick trip up the highway in the City of Denton.
